[cyclos 3.6.1] Search with wildcards

Hi,
the search using wildcards does not work with the letter ä,ö,ü, Ä,Ö,Ü and ß:
Bärbel is found but not Bärb*
Großmann is found, but not Groß*
and so on.

after reindexed it work, but I rebuild and optimize the indexex for 4 days,
how often must I do this, I think it is not possible to start this automaticly.

It should not be necessary to reindex. The indexes should not break.
Just let me know if the problem appears again.

now I have updateted 4 cylcos-systems to 3.6.1, and reindexed all.
Now, the problem is in all systems. I can't found members with
wildcard-seach and äöu...ß

We tried all the characters and the search with wildcards works well.

I think, I can't reproduce this on the demo.
I have 6 Applications updated from 3.6 to 3.6.1
1 works ok, 5 not. (all of the same server)
- 1.) I stop the tomcat, delete the work-directory > the same problem
- 2.) I stop the tomcat, delete the index-directory > the same problem
- 3.) I make a database-backup and install this in a standalone local > the same problem.

I test it with another application of another server (digitekst) > the same problem.

test it with chrome, ff, ie9 and with different pc's

no idea what I could do, please help.

I concur with Norbert, have the same problem with 3.6.1 (hosted by Oliver Endrikat). Same problem on my personal PC (Windows) and 3.6.1. Also the same problem via Web Service.

hello everyone,

i have installed cyclos last week (3.6.1) on ubuntu and can also reproduce issues with german umlauts. Funyn side effect: It seems that it does work sometimes depending on the NUMBER of characters entered in the search field. So for example:

Searching for "Gürt" WONT return an valid result

whereas using "Gürtl" does return the one single valid entry matching....
