#member# is not working

Post by matthias » Tue Mar 09, 2010 11:49 am

We have got the same problem as described by member "vstambuk" on 24.02.2010, but cannot solve it by not using style codes in the text. It's the message which is send to a member through the "adverd observer" when a new advertisement is published.

e-mails sent out by the system do not pull out the value they were supposed to in the body of the e-mail. It works however in the e-mail subject. For example, #member# in the e-mail reads #member# instead of the real member's name.

I tried plain text as well as different style codes, but it's not working. But there is no problem with #title#, which is placed in the same text. Thank you for your help.

Hello,
The ad interested message does not support the member variable.
The default message only comes with the title variable.

Thank you for your answer.
Where can I find information about possible variables for the various messages that can be send by the system?
Kind regards, Matthias

Hi Mattias,

We do not have one. But we should really.
For the moment. If the default message do not come with the variable it is mostly not possible to use them.
