Temporarily blocking possibility to trade (via APIs)

Post by gert.meeder »

Is there a way in which we set an absolute maximum to the number of transactions a certain user group member can do?
(use case; after 20 transactions, user from a 'free' subscription group, would have to upgrade their subscription to be able to continue)

If not (as I suspect); how complex would you think it to add this option?

An alternative option would obviously be to place such a member in an inactive group temporarily, but unfortunately it seems that the APIs do not yet allow for changing member groups (http://www.cyclos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1533).

Hi,
if using the api you count count the transactions by "hand" (an auxiliary database) and perform a limit check before proceeding in the transaction.
as you alrready noticed you cant manage groups using the api, but you could trigger some mails about the event for the propper action be done using the interface.

just thoughts,

best regards,
