About Cyclos 4 and TAN

Post by cycloshost »

Hi,

we were discussing some features of Cyclos 4, for example the member-to-member loan. Currently the info about the version 4 is dispersed in the forum.

We think would be a good idea to create a separate section in the forum to discuss and update in a sticky the features of Cyclos 4.

For example, is it planned the TAN devices support? How would be possible to enhance the security of the transaction password?

Cyclos4 is still to far ahead to be able to give a functionality list.
We cannot say at this point if it will support TAN devices. By the way, I am not sure what you mean by that. Don't you mean QR readers?

Hi,

by TAN device i mean a physical device that generates the transaction password dynamically from some parameters of the transaction (Amount, Recipient account,...) and (optionally) inserting the debit card in the device.

Here is an example used in GLS Bank:

With the GLS device you have the possibility to insert one by one in the device the parameters or to read them with a technique named SmartTAN optic:

This video includes a live demo (TAN used from 1:00 on):

Thanks for the information. We will look into that.
We are also looking at the NFC alternative Zoosh. http://blogs.ft.com/fttechhub/2011/06/n ... z1mHIqBV58

Here is another alternative for the 2nd authentication level, based on HBCI:

Hibiscus is an Java opensource Homebanking software released under the GPL License that supports chipTan, smsTan and USBKey.
