How Do I Express The "Owner Parameter" As A Guest

Post by barry » Fri Jul 20, 2018 8:03 am

Hello Admin,

If I visit : https://titanps.mycashbox.org/play/api/ and select "Guest" as the authentication method to be used and I go to accounts and click on "GET /{owner}/accounts", what should I enter as the "Owner Parameter" since "self" will not work in this case. I am asking because I have followed the info on the right side and all I got was "missing authentication".

Lets assume the following Owner details:

Username: joker
password: 1234

I would like to know how this will be expressed at the Owner Parameter field.

Thanks
Barry

Dear Barry,

I am not 100% sure if I understand your question. But you can't access account information as guest. The only information you can access as guest is for example advertisement or users if this is allowed in your configuration. Always for example this post can be done as a guest:
https://demo.cyclos.org/api/users/group ... gistration

(this shows that you can register as only as member as a guest).

If you want to see the list of account for example in the demo you have to do the following:
1) Go to https://demo.cyclos.org/api/
2) Select "User / password" and fill in "demo" in the "user" field and "1234" in the "password" field.
3) Scroll a bit down and click on accounts.
4) Click on "GET /{owner}/accounts"
5) Under owner fill in "self".
6) Scroll down and press the button "Try it out!"

Good luck!

Hello Admin,

I have tried what you have suggested and it worked. That is not the issue.

The issue is, if I decide to skip step 2 as you suggested so that I enter the user name "demo" and the password "1234" at the Owner Field, how should I go about it?

Or If as a user, I decide not to enter "self" as the Owner Parameter, I want to enter the user's credentials there, how do I go about it?

eg; Owner: demo&1234 or
demo+1234 or
demo/1234

Many Thanks
