Completely reset a community or marketplace

Post by awbacker » Wed Apr 19, 2017 5:34 am

Hello,

We are using hosted Cyclos, and I would like to:

1) wipe our community clean, except for the admin user account (this is the ideal solution)
2) wipe out all data in our marketplace, if #1 isn't possible

Is there any way to do this, or are there at least some bulk deletion tools that we can use? We are totally ok with recreating all the user accounts and supporting data. We considered using a new account, but we had enough issues with DNS setup last time that we'd only attempt that as a very last resort.

It is only possible with SQL commands. But it requires a script to do so, because there are many dependies to meet, it is a bit tricky. For version 3.x there was a basic script included in the package.
Eventually I'm going to rewrite my scripts for V3.x to V4.7. But for a production site using those scripts brings a risk.

Thanks for the feedback on doing this.

I have no issue doing the SQL dance with FK deletion order, however... we are hosted, so that would mean running them on the shared server. Doubt I'd be given access to do that! I do wish there was a way to do this, e.g. a scripted `drop and re-create` process would be enough.

Hi,

It's possible to share this script to reset transactions and users on a community ?

Thanks a lot,

Regards,
