URGENT Messages not being forwarded as emails

Hi,

I'm the administrator of the Letsbuzz community, communities.cyclos.org/buzz

This morning I sent out a number of messages to all users, including myself as a user, my message was not forwarded to my email. I have since been contacted by two other users with the same complaint.

We all have the box under "Personal...Setting...Notifications...Forward internal messages to your email address" ticked and until very recently forwarding worked.

"Forward internal messages as email" is set to "Enabled and default" in the Product details for "members".

Any help would be very welcome, our system is no good unless forwarding works.

Please, this is urgent, can anybody help?

Ads expiry is still being notified by email, but messages are not being forwarded, I was about to change mail server (below) until I discovered that.

The permissions are all good, both system config and personal unchanged since system worked, and still as below:

Logged on as admin:

System - configuration - default (only configuration) - Emails - server details as below:
Host gator3298.hostgator.com
Port 587
Protocol STARTTLS
Password unknown

System - Product - Members - Product details - Messages & notifications - Forward internal messages as email - enabled and default

Logged on as user:

Personal - settings - notifications - Forward internal messages to your email address, box ticked

I have cycled all those settings ie turned off then back on, still forwarding does not work.

Thanks in anticipation, this is killing our LETS.

(I'd like to take this opportunity to say thanks for a great resource in Cyclos communities, the nature of this forum probably means that mostly you only hear about our problems, but it is great so thanks).

We use the messaging system on Cyclos to let people know of changes and latest developments. We used to be able to send everyone a message and that would be forwarded to the respective email inboxes. For some reason this has stopped. The messages appear on the user portal when they log into Cyclos but they are not forwarded to their normal email inboxes.
Q - Is there a solution for this?

Hi,

You are using Cyclos 4 communities, or host your own instance?

You should check the email setting at configuration and also if the forward are correct enable at user preferences.

We are a community Kingston Pound.
I have looked at the preferences and they seem to be fine. If I send an email to myself for example, I get it in my in box - its the bulk sending that does not work. I was looking at the Restrictions. Do you think it is as simple as being restricted to sending emails to 50 users? We have more than that.

Restrictions

Maximum upload size 5 MB
Maximum full image dimensions 1960x1960
Maximum medium thumbnail dimensions 240x240
Maximum small thumbnail dimensions 150x150
Maximum PNG image size 800 kB
JPEG images quality 60
Maximum temporary images for authenticated users 50
Maximum temporary images for public registration (per IP address) 20
