Configure browser tab text

Post by dw.ebank » Tue Jul 30, 2013 1:21 pm

I do apologize for the significance (or lack there of) of my following post.

I have incorporated this amazing software into a small professional venture but am stuck with the following: How in the world do I change the Text that appears in my browsers tab?

eg: http://ebank.bz

The text in the tab has a misspelling for the word Citizens.

HI,

Hi You are using a frameset.
The title that are being showed is defined on your index file:

<html>
<head>
<title>eBank for eCitezens </title>
</head>
<frameset border="0" rows="100%,*">

Thank you very much for your quick response. I an not using frames, I am hosted on the Cyclos Community site and using a redirect from ebank.bz (see below). I have copied my index.html file below.

<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html lang="en-US">
<head>
<meta charset="UTF-8">
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="1;url=
https://communities.cyclos.org/eBank#login">
<script type="text/javascript">
window.location.href = "
https://communities.cyclos.org/eBank#login"
</script>
<title>Security redirection</title>
</head>
<body>
<p></p>
<!-- Note: don't tell people to `click` the link, just tell them that it is a link. -->
<p>If you are not redirected automatically, follow the <a href="
https://communities.cyclos.org/eBank#login">Secure Server</a></p>
</body>
</html>

I am certain that the change is made in the configuration settings or even in the Translations but I have not been able to find it.

HI,

I copied the index.html that you post and this works ok. The index that are on http://ebank.bz/ is another file. this file contains
<html><head>
<title>eBank for eCitezens </title>
<meta name="description" content="ebank.bz">
</head>
<frameset rows="100%,*" border="0">
<frame src="https://communities.cyclos.org/eBank#home" frameborder="0">
<frame frameborder="0" noresize="">
</frameset>

<!-- pageok -->
<!-- 04 -->
<!-- -->
</html>

Or maybe this file was automaticaly generated and there is some cache on your server.

I guess that's just it, it is not my server it's the Cyclos 4 Community server.I guess I will have to wait for an admin person to let me know how to access the file on their server, (probably not) or maybe they can correct it. I guess the question is I would have had to put that information in there, If I put it in I should be able to edit it. Hummm, curiouser and curiouser.

HI,

I'm an admin of cyclos4 communities.
On your community the tabs name is eBank.bz you can view it if you access your community url directly
https://communities.cyclos.org/eBank

So the title error are not on the cyclos server.
