can I upload cyclos using a normal account for websites?

I received the following question: How can I upload cyclos using a normal account for web sites? Answer: You can't. Normal webhosting accounts which you can get at most providers, enable you to upload only html files and pictures. Cyclos is a package of software that needs to be installed on a serve...

re: detect browser language

I would like to ask if there is already a procedure to detect browser language settings at cyclos and redirect the user to that language? We are thinking of this to have a single database, but with multiple language options for users. No, there is not yet a procedure for that. At present, the langu...

transaction reference number

Internally, Cyclos works with such a transaction reference number. Only it does not show to the users.

We can discuss this issue within the team. However, personally, I am not responsible for the scheduling of new features. I only know that there is quite a waiting queue for new features.

Re: Member Downloading Transaction and Member List Data

would it not be possible to download data by a member to backup own record of transactions and contact/members list ... in case the system goes down, a person could have something to refer to. I personally don't see the value of it. Every browser has a possibility to save any page (usually in the b...

Would you have some info on a compiler or a web site I can go to download the correct one (ie to re-compile the language file "ApplicationResources_en_US" in case I need to - eg Enterprise ?) Hi Mohsin, As Hugo said, and in contrary to what I said wrongly, you do not need to recompile any...

Re: Thanks!

Now I have to be more prudent and conduct due diligence in system settings before doing any transaction with cyclos. Please note we have a special starters package on the project site ( http://project.cyclos.org/en/starters.html ); especially the document "tips" has an entry on what to ch...

Re: Timezone Settings in Cyclos

I was wondering if anyone considered including a timezone setting at user level or instance level where the ISP may be in a different time zone to the members No, not yet. But we are planning to work on an extension of Cyclos for interlinking different systems. In such a system, a time zone setting...

In our requirements I was looking at not charging any transaction tax when the member account is in credit balance ie the account is in negative balance . tomcat / php

In fact, cyclos 0 was programmed in PHP. But after a while the language prooved too limited for what we wanted. Java as fully object oriented programming language had better possibilities for us, so we rewrote everything to java/tomcat. For a forum you need less security than for banking software li...

Re: browse

Hi BlueOwl, The search function in the main menu does have the possibility to browse over all entries in the database. In any search window in cyclos, when you do not fill in anything in the edit boxes, the program returns ALL available entries. So when you want to browse all offers in the database,...

Re: fund withdrawals

I was thinking of ways that for example or units in circulation within the LETS are all backed up by actual cash in the bank (100%). This is not the practice in LETS, as LETS-accounts are usually all balanced around zero, meaning that all balances of all members summed up equal zero. However, there...
