Re: my opinion....

i do like the idea of have "forgot password" link, so it could fill the mail and receive a password reset procedure. cyclos is ALL based in options, use the feature as desired, if not safe, just disable it. This would make sense. Will help us a lot as we get quite a few password reset requests from...

I did some research on these invitation emails, which seem like they're getting questionable in being legal to do in different countries. Canada has passed Bill C-28, which is expected to be in force in September as some has mentioned on the Net. The laws are getting strict on what's regarded as spa...

the re-indexing works (for me) for the ads already deleted, but ads deleted after the re-indexing experience the same issue. So one has to create a cron job to do this regularely. Many thanks, Kurt Kurt - I'm curious why and how re-indexing works for you other than what admin suggested. I'll probab...

Re: 3 suggestions for community building

Hugo these three simple ideas I learnt from another fantastic website, and it works like a bomb to get users to come back regularly, it also generates interest in other peoples profiles, and encourages members to take pride in their own profiles: * when another member in the community browses to my...

Can you make an option in a settings whether to allow to register with the same e-mail address? You said many organizations, I assume some other organizations would want to keep the email address unique. This would seem to make sense. Better yet, making it possible to turn on and off the enforcemen...

Jaime - We're using part of the function basically just showing the ad categories dynamically (change within cyclos will show on the site), which actually is kind of nice. But that's all we use them for. One main issue with the plugins that we have is, even when they work, the purchase process will ...

On the note of FB, they also send out reminders of invitation if the invitee hasn't responded yet. It'd be awesome if Cyclos can do the same. Better yet, let the admin decide how many reminders are going to go out and the duration in between. Which means if the invitee did respond, whether or not th...

The invitation seems an important feature. Think Facebook. People are able to invite friends and that allows FB to go viral. Actually, I'd very much like to see the feature enhanced. As in FB people are able to invite more than one friends in one invite, and add a personal message. As to how to avoi...

As well, it seems that if you manually expire an ad as an admin (as the member themselves also?), the count will also be off.

Appreciate the hint admin, but it doesn't seem to help. Not even coupled with reindexing the database (backup/restore).

Limit on enumerated types

It seems that if a field of enumerated types go over 50, maybe even just 40, possible values, although the value can be created it cannot be used in the actual selection when the latest ones are needed. An error of (by my memory) 'Invalid [name of the value]' will be thrown. This is version 3.5.6. t...

custom fields

Ideally when the function is eventually working completely (assuming there really are existing problems), the custom member fields will all be exported and imported. If not, sites with numerous members will have a hard time recreating those fields.

thanks

I gathered as much. Good to have your confirm Roder. To fellow cyclosists, it should be important to make sure your mysql server has innodb enabled (show engines;), and that your backup sql files have the foreign keys statements included. Or make sure your hosting provider does. For my part I'm glad...

It looks as if there's problem with the import/export function with members. From a quick look the customised member fields are included in the csv however the members table in the db don't have custom fields if I'm correct. Unless the custom fields will be imported in some other tables. Doubtful th...
